With the weather starting to warm up here in Oklahoma, we’ve been busy doing lot’s of fun stuff outdoors. After being cooped up for months it’s nice to be able to sit outside and soak in the warm (almost) Spring air. One of my families favorite things to do when the weather turns warmer is to visit our local zoo. No matter how many times we go, it’s always a special experience to see all of the animals. When we do visit the zoo, I try to load us up on yummy snacks including this animal feed for kids Trail Mix inspired by the new Disney movie Zootopia. It’s super quick and easy to make and it makes the perfect snack for those crazy animals (aka kids).
Animal Feed For Kids Trail Mix
So now back to the Animal Feed For Kids Trail Mix I was talking about earlier. Trail mix is one of those perfect snack foods for moms. That’s because it’s quick, easy and kids love it. The great thing about this recipe is that you can adapt it to meet your families taste. You can add more of something, less of something else or change ingredients all together. That’s one of the reasons why I love trail mix so much, it’s such a versatile snack.
Here’s what you need:
- 1-2 Cups Popped Salted Popcorn
- 1 1/2 Cups Animal Cookies
- 1 1/2 Cups small pretzels
- 1 Cup plain M&M’s
- 1 Cup Cheerios cereal
Now comes the fun part! You just mix all these ingredients together in one big bowl and you have yourself a big batch of Animal Feed For Kids. And trust me, kids love it. Especially the name Animal Feed For Kids Trail Mix. I normally package these up in single size ziploc baggies when we are out at the zoo or park.But at home I will give each person their own cup filled with the animal feed for kids.
