Reading is such an important part of growing up. The younger you can start your children reading books, the more they will love this skill as they get older. It’s important when choosing a book that you look for stories that your children can connect with. And big colorful illustrations will draw younger children into the book as well. That’s exactly what you will find in the new book A Very Squeaky Mystery, written by Laura Angelina and Randy Williamson.

My daughter, Aubrey,  just finished the first grade and absolutely loves to read. She is an independent reader and couldn’t wait to start reading A Very Squeaky Mystery. She wasted no time, digging right into the book. Aubrey loved the fact that this was a “mystery” book that kept her guessing until the very end. This is not a long book but has enough pages to keep your child busy reading for a good 15 minutes or so. The total number of pages is 54. Some of the pages are short and some are longer.

A Very Squeaky Mystery is such a cute book and great for dependent and independent readers. It’s written in a way that children can understand whats going on throughout the book and relate in many ways. For instance, just like most kids, the twins love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The book is colorful and has very cute illustrations that help capture a child’s attention from the start to the end. But overall there is just a really fun story line! This is a great book and one I think kids are going to love. My daughter Aubrey sure did.
