Every weekend, our family cuddles up on the couch for family movie night. It’s been a tradition in our family since my son was around 3 years old. My kids and I look forward to this special time where we can relax and enjoy each other’s company. To mix things, from time to time I will do something a little bit different for movie night. For instance, we might have a special themed food to go along with the movie. Or we might play a board game before our movie starts. I try and make each family movie night special and unique. This past week though, the dreaded flu hit our home so we had to postpone family movie night, until everyone felt better. My kids were a little disappointed but luckily the wait was worth it. Because our most recent family movie night featured The Book of Life.
The Book of Life
The Book of Life is a fantastic movie. If you haven’t had a chance to see it yet, please do. It’s a movie filled with beautiful colors and graphics. Plus it has a really unique storyline that everyone can appreciate.
To help make our family movie night extra special, my friends over at Fox Home Entertainment sent us a box full of goodies. These goodies really helped make our movie night extra special. We were sent masks, colorful bead necklaces, activity sheets and cups and plates for our family movie night goodies. This couldn’t have been better timing because since my kids were getting over being sick, they were ready for some fun. We colored and played games and then cuddled up together and watched The Book of Life.
Family Movie Night Snacks
Of course family movie night wouldn’t be the same without some awesome snacks. For dinner we made homemade pizza (one of our families favorites). Then for snacks we munched on some popcorn and soda.
Family Movie Night Is a Must
