Candy and Snacks go with the movies like Peanut Butter goes with jelly. Don’t get me wrong you can definitely watch a movie without eating anything but having a box of Junior mints to nibble on makes the experience magical. There are snacks to eat at the movies and then their are the best snacks to eat at the movies. Did your favorites make the list?
10 Best Snacks To Eat At The Movies
Butter Loaded Popcorn
If there is only one thing that you can get at the movie theater snack bar it should be popcorn. Nothing tastes better than popcorn that is popped fresh in the movie theater. It can’t be recreated at home or in a box. That must be the reason it costs $10 a tub, but it’s worth every penny.
Junior Mints
These are my all time favorite best snacks to eat at the movies. If I don’t have a box with me, I feel like my arm is missing. Junior Mints have been my favorite since I was a kid and now that I have kids of my own, I see them gravitating towards these chocolate minty shells for themselves.
Peanut M&M’s
Sweet and Salty. Need I say more? These delicious treats are the perfect snack and go great with salty popcorn.
Coca-Cola
All those sweet and salty snacks will eventually leave you dying of thirst. That’s when you should reach for a Coca-Cola. I normally try to steer clear of soda but for special occasions like a movie, I splurge on a huge fountain drink.
Twizzlers
I have yet to meet someone that doesn’t like Twizzlers! These are one of the best snacks to eat at the movies because they take a little longer to eat.
Gummy Worms
If you have kids you need a bag of these. There’s something extra special about gummy worms. Maybe it’s the fact that once you suck on them they turn slimy and feel like a real worm. Kids love gross stuff like this.
Giant Sour Pickle
There are only a few times where I will eat a giant sour pickle. At a baseball game or a the movie theatre. These pickles are usually abnormally gigantic and can help curb your appetite from the sweeter snacks. A Giant pickle is a great option if you want a snack but not all the calories that go with it. But hey, you’re at the movies so who’s counting calories.
Cherry Bombs
If you have never had a cherry bomb, you haven’t lived. These little red balls of cherry goodness are the epitome of a movie theater candy.
Good and Plenty
Ok now I realize that not everyone is a fan of black licorice. I am however, a HUGE fan. I could live off of Good & Plenty candy. Plus no one in my family likes them so that means I get the whole box to myself. SCORE.
Now It’s Time To See a Movie
Now that you have you’re favorite snacks, it’s time to pair them with a good movie. There are SO many great movies out right now but the one I would highly recommend seeing is Cinderella. This movie has been in theaters a little over a week now and it has taken the box office by storm. Little girls all over the world have been eagerly awaiting the release of this live-action classic Disney fairytale, including mine. Cinderella first and foremost is visually stunning! The costumes, back-drops and locations are just amazing and really make this movie stand out. What I love most about this movie is that it is true to the cartoon and pretty much follows it completely.
Cinderella is definitely a movie that the whole family will love because it features action, adventure, comedy and even romance. To learn more about Cinderella be sure to Follow Fandango Family on Facebook.
