It’s usually the day after Halloween that both of my kids start preparing for Christmas and making wish lists of all the fun toys that they want to see under the Christmas tree. We received the adorable Furby Boom ZigZag Stripes to review as part of our 2013 Holiday Gift Guide. The Furby Boom is nothing like the original and is perfect for boys or girls ages 6 and up. When you first open the box Furby has his eyes closed like he is asleep once you take him out and put 4 AA batteries in him, he wakes up and is ready for some fun.
The neatest thing about the Furby Zigzag Boom toy is that your child gets to shape its personality. The more you talk to Furby, the more he talks back and the manner in which your child interacts with the toy determines how his personality will develop. You can talk to him, introduce him to friends, play him music, tickle his tummy, and even feed him with your finger and put him to sleep.
Furby also has a free app that allows your child to play games, get eggs and raise virtual Furblings. This app is optional and works with iPad, iPod touch and iPhone with iOS 5.0 or later. The Furby is super cute and comes in a variety of colors perfect for boys and girls. Kmart currently has these on sale for under $50 and you can pick one up either in stores or online.
