When I first found out that I would be walking the red carpet among the likes of Robert Downey Jr. Gywneth Paltrow, Chris Evans and many more, I’ll admit I freaked out a little. These are HUGE celebrities and how could I even come close to looking as glamorous as they do. I knew that I would be doing my own hair and makeup and needed something to help me achieve that red carpet look. Thankfully the folks over a ISO Beauty came to my rescue and sent Toni (A Daily Dose of Toni) and I both 32mm curling irons to review and help us blend in with the stars.
With the Curling Iron also came the instructions on how to use the wand and the most important piece of equipment when using a curling wand..the glove! Don’t underestimate this glove because it saved my hands several times from what could have been a disaster. This Curling wand gets HOT and the last thing you want to do is touch it with your skin. It hurts, trust me.
I have always been a curling iron with clip type of girl, so learning to use a wand was a new experience for me. It definitely takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of it, it’s really easy to use. I also found that I like the look of the wands curls better than my normal curling iron with clip.
If your having trouble getting the hang of the curling wand, YouTube is an excellent resource on people showing you exactly how to hold the wand, wrap your hair around it etc. For more information on ISO Beauty and how you can get your red carpet look visit http://www.isobeauty.com/.
