Before I even had kids I started my Disney movie collection. These are timeless classics that no matter how old you are you can enjoy and it will bring back great memories. I always get excited when a new Disney Movie gets released onto Blu-ray, especially when it’s one that my kids have never seen before. They are in for a real treat this week because not just one, but FIVE Favorite Disney Classic Movies will be released onto Blu-ray, August 21st, 2012!

disney classic movies on blu-ray, Pocahontas, Pocahontas II on Blu-ray, The Rescuers

Pocahontas and Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World-2 Disc Movie Collection

The Rescuers: 35th Anniversary Edition and The Rescuers Down Under

The Aristocats: Special Edition

The Tigger Movie: Bounce-a-RRRific Special Edition

Lady & The Tramp II: Scamps Adventure Special Edition
Our Thoughts: My daughter Aubrey is the perfect age for Disney movies because they are all so magical and real to her, so it’s fun for me to watch these movies together for the first time. She had actually never seen any of these movies before and I was so glad that she was able to in the Blu-ray form because the quality is SOOO much better than what I remember from watching on my parents old VHS tapes. I really thought the first movie she would want to watch would be Pocahontas. She had her eyes on another movie first and was thrilled to watch Lady and the Tramp II and that was fine with me because I had never seen this one either. The second Lady and the Tramp follows the adventures of Scampy which is the rowdy son of Lady and Tramp, it’s an adorable movie and we all loved it. The one movie that I was really looking forward to watching was The Rescuers! I remember watching this movie when I wasn’t much older than Aubrey and I loved it, it’s one of my favorite Classic Disney movies. I knew that Aubrey was going to love it as much as I had as a girl and I was right!  We haven’t got a chance to watch the rest of the movies but they are on the schedule for Family Movie night this weekend. Even if you have seen these movies before, it’s a whole new experience watching them on Blu-ray, especially with all the special features included with each movie.

All of the movies are now available on Blu-ray online and in-stores for a limited time, so be sure to grab your copy before they go back into the vault.
