The gaming world has definitely come along way since those beginning days of sitting around playing Mario. If you would have told me when I was 10 years old that in 20 years I would have thousands of games available anytime, anywhere I would have looked at you like you were crazy. It still amazes me that I can pick up my iPad or iPhone type in games and download and start playing within in minutes.The only drawback of having so many games, is deciding which ones are worth downloading. I recently downloaded a really fun game that was too good not to share. Space Settlers app for the iOS is a multi-player Sci-Fi game that features mecha combat and real-time strategy. 
The storyline of this game is what makes it stand out from other games and gets your interest sparked right away. The app begins by telling you the story of how Scientist Hawking linked his brain with the most powerful computer in the world and in the process proved that the God particle that was previously captured could be dated back 13 billion years. This makes the Time Gate open for humans. Hawking also predicted that dark energy existed in the form of crystal at the beginning of the universe which he named “Dark Energy Crystal”. This dark energy crystal is the most powerful energy source in the universe since the expeditionary force first carried it from ancient relic to Earth. The ancient people in Terra left extraordinary technology remains and this is how the first Space Settler Age began.
The game is super easy, even for a non-gamer like myself. It’s pretty self explanatory at the beginning at goes step by step on how to set you your fortress and start playing the game. Once you get everything set up your are ready to hit the Multi-player battlefield which enables you to drive chariots, launch attacks, visit different planets and more.
The color and style of this game are great and makes the game even that more exciting. Also since it is a multi-player game you have the option of interacting with other players.
The first time I sat down and played Space Settlers I was hooked and played for around an hour straight which is a long time for me. After I stopped playing I let my son take over and he loved this game even more than I did. He is really into space games so this is right up his alley.
If your looking for a fun game I would recommend checking out Space Settlers. This sounds like fun I have to agree video games have some a long way from the Mario days and even going back further to Atari and asteroids LOL.
