*I received a copy of The Southern Pie Book in order to facilitate my review. All opinions expressed are my own.
If there is one dessert that I could never get enough of it’s pies! I cook pies throughout the year but it seems like once the holiday season hits, my pie baking hits overdrive. Some of my favorite pies to cook are Lemon Meringue, Chocolate Cream, Pecan Pie and Key Lime.
This holiday season I am really wanting to try some new recipes and impressing my friends and family. Last week my secret weapon arrived with the Southern Living: The Southern Pie Book. This book is full of delicious recipes, over 150 to be exact, and include a collection of tarts, cobblers, hand pies and more.
All of the recipes in The Southern Pie book are easy to follow, have useful tips and gorgeous full page photos. Whether your are a beginner, seasoned baker or master chef this book comes in handy for all.
One of my favorite things about this book and what I think sets it apart from other recipe books is that the author guides you from the crust up. You will find pretty much every category of pie imaginable inside this book. I am really looking forward to baking several of these pie recipes especially for my friends and family for the upcoming holidays!
The Southern Living Pie Book is available now in book stores nationwide and also online for around $23.00.
