Someone Pinch Me! I’m Going to the Disney/Pixar Red Carpet Premiere of Brave and Opening of Cars Land #BraveCarsLandEvent

I feel like I am having a dream and at any moment someone is going to shake me and say “WAKE UP Mellisa!” This past week was truly one for the record books. It started off stressful and scary and ended with one of the most amazing invitations I have ever received. As I was settling in for the night on Wednesday, I decided to check my emails one last time before bed and to my complete and utter amazement was a email from Disney and Pixar with an invitation to the Red Carpet Premiere of the film Brave in Los Angeles. As if that wasn’t exciting enough myself along with 24 other amazing bloggers will also be seeing a special screening of DreamWorks’ People Like Us, a sneak peek of Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie and visiting Disneyland! I am so excited and can’t wait to share this experience with all of you. Below is a list of the day’s events.

Sunday June 17th– We will arrive in LA and stay at the beautiful and brand new Hilton Garden Inn that sits right in the middle of Hollywood!!! After we all check in we will meet up and that evening get to see a special screening of Disney/Pixar’s Brave and a sneak peak at Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie on the Walt Disney Studios Lot. Can you say DREAM COME TRUE!

Monday June 18th-Everyone will attend a special screening of DreamWork’s Pictures People Like Us and get to ask questions to the director of the movie Alex Kurtzman. Next we will head over to the Brave Press Day where we will be able to participate in round table interviews with Kelly Macdonald (the voice of Merida), Kevin McKidd (the voice of “Lord MacGuffin”), director Mark Andrews and Producer Katherine Sarafian. I’ll be taking suggestions on questions I should ask over the next few weeks so if you have something you would like to find out let me know! Later that evening we will be attending the World Premiere of Brave at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood (this is were the Academy Awards are held).

Tuesday June 19th-Bright and Early we will travel to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA where we will be staying at the newly renovated Disneyland Hotel. Highlights of our visit to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure Park Include:

  • Visit Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park! Cars Land is 12 acres of incredible fun and has 3 new attractions.
  • We will get to compare how closely Radiator Springs in 3-D compares to Radiator Springs from the film.
  • I’m extremely excited to get to interview an Imagineer who helped create Cars Land and find out how they brought the movie to life.
  • Ride The Little Mermaid Ride-Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
  • Experience the Mad T Party (This looks like sooo much fun!)
  • Meet and take photos with the newest Disney Character Merida at Disneyland Park
  • Explore both parks and experience everything they have to offer.

On Wednesday June 20th we will head home and I know I will have so many incredible things to share with everyone. I am so excited about the event, this is by far the most amazing invitation that I have ever received. Disney…can you get any better than that?

Disclosure: Disney/Pixar are sponsoring my travel, accommodations and activities during the #BraveCarsLandEvent in June. All opinions expressed are 100% honest and my own.

They have a Little Mermaid RIDE now? 6 year old me is freaking out with excitement right now, LOL. What an awesome time you will have, I can’t wait to hear all about it!

I know I think being able to ride this will be one of the main highlights of the trip! We went to Disney World last year and they don’t have this ride yet there, so this will be the first time I’ve riden The Little Mermaid. :)

Congratulations – that is SO exciting! I can’t wait to hear what you think of it all – BRAVE looks like a kick-butt movie! I can’t wait to take my daughter!

Thanks so much Tiffany! I was floored when I got the email invitation. It has been my goal since last year to get invited to a Disney premiere and I can’t wait. I do feel a tad bit guilty about the Disneyland part without my kids. I’m hoping that will go away once I get there.

I share your excitement too. This premiere will offer a rare opportunity for the guests to be able to shoot a bow at the party following the premiere, and I have the distinct honor of providing our Highland bows and patent pending Archery Tag foam tipped arrows, along with archery instruction. Stop by and say “Hi”
