Candy is one of those things that no matter what kind of mood your in will bring a smile to your face. There is just something about that sweet savory bite from your favorite confectionery treat. I am not biased when it comes to candy. I like it in all flavors, shapes and colors. So whenever I get the chance to try out a new candy company I literally jump at the chance. See’s Candy is one of these companies that I recently got the chance to try out. I have seen their local store in our mall but for some reason I have never tried any other their products out. But that all changed last week when I got to eat some of the best candy I have ever had.
See’s Candy has been making candy for over 90 years with only the freshest and finest of ingredients. With over 100 different candy and chocolates they are bound to have something for everyone. They have over 200 stores nationwide where you can even get a free sample! Of course you can always order your favorites online like I did. I tried to pick out some things that I knew my whole family would but also a variety of candies so that I could taste the difference. We received the See’s Pecan Buds, Black Licorice Medallions and Peppermint Candy Twists.
First let me tell you about those Pecan Buds. These little pieces of heaven are easily some of the best Pecan Buds I have ever had. They are sweet, crunchy with just a tad bit of salt mixed in making the perfect combination. This box didn’t last long at our house because every member of the family enjoyed a few pieces.
The black licorice medallions were actually all mine! You definitely have to be one of those people with an acquired taste for licorice because it’s not for everyone. But that’s just fine with me because I gladly confiscated this bag for myself. The licorice was soft and chewy and a great black licorice taste. If you like black licorice you will LOVE these medallions.
I also added on a bag of Peppermint Candy Twists because this is a great treat for after dinner or when you need just a little something sweet. These peppermint candies are nice and airy and taste great. Overall I am extremely happy with all of the See’s Candy that we received and I will definitely be ordering from them again, and visiting their store!
