If there is one thing that I look forward to the most during the holiday season it’s all of the baking I get to do! There is no better excuse to get in the kitchen and whip up a bunch of sweets than at Christmas. Because I bake so often during this time of year I normally have a lot of extra goodies. So a few years ago I decided that I would start handing these homemade goodies out to my friends and family. Not only does it make me feel good but I know that no one can resist a good sweet treat. Below is a recipe for Santa Pretzel Hats which just so happens to be one of my favorite treats to make. They are super easy.
Santa Pretzel Hats
Ingredients
- Mini Pretzels
- White Almond Bark
- Red Sprinkles
- Mini Marshmallows
Instructions
In a large glass bowl melt the almond bark completely in the microwave. Make sure you only cook in 15-20 second intervals and stir in between.
Next dip a mini pretzel half way into the melted almond bark.
Sprinkle the top half of the pretzel with red sprinkles but make sure you leave a little bit of white showing underneath.
Cut the mini marshmallows in half. Talk one marshmallow and lightly dip the cut end into the almond bark and attach the marshmallow to the side of the pretzel.
Place the finished pretzel onto wax paper and allow the almond bark to set.
How To Make The Perfect Gift Container
So now that you have the perfect treat to hand out to your friends and family, you have to have something to deliver it to them in. One of my favorite ways to give my friends and family my homemade treats is buy wrapping them up in a Rubbermaid TakeAlongs container. They have several different sizes to choose from at your local Walmart. You can find the perfect ones for you in the kitchen aisle. I picked up two different sizes. (2) Large Serving bowls which are perfect for transporting cookies and other Christmas goodies and mini deep squares which are great for candy.
You could easily give your gifts in the containers without doing anything. But part of the fun is decorating them and making them look fun and festive. It’s really easy to do. First you need a few Rubbermaid Take Alongs.
Next fill those containers with all your Santa Pretzel Hats and add lots of cute festive flair such as ribbons and bows. This is your time to get creative!
Rubbermaid Take Alongs feature Quik Clik Seal™ technology which will keep your special treats secure and help prevent spills while delivering to your friends. Right now be sure to take advantage of the special Ibotta $1 Off Of Any 2 Rubbermaid TakeAlongs Products rebate offer, exclusive to Walmart shoppers.
Homemade gifts to me are the best because they are made with love. This holiday season I encourage you to get in the kitchen and make your friends and family some special treats for this to enjoy.
