It’s not a big secret that I love to cruise. Cruising is one of those things that once you do it, you’re hooked. There is always so much to do on a cruise ship and in my opinion, it’s one of the best vacations you can take. I’ve always wanted to cruise with Royal Caribbean and this weekend I will finally get my chance on the newly enhanced Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas cruise ship.
Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas
Just recently Freedom of the Seas was sailed into port for almost a month so that Royal Caribbean could add even more awesomeness to the ship. This particular ship has always been a favorite among cruisers but now it’s packed with even more luxury and excitement. Some of the things I am looking forward to the most during this 2-day cruise include:
- FlowRider® surf simulator
- Rock-climbing wall
- Ice-skating rink
- Mini-golf course
Of course that’s just a taste of what is aboard the Freedom of the Seas. With the enhancements Freedom of the Seas now offers a 3D theater where you can catch a first-run movie. Or by the poolside under the stars on the outdoor movie screen. I can’t think of a better way to watch a movie than in the middle of the ocean!
One of the perks of cruising with Royal Caribbean is the food, and there is plenty of that on the Freedom of the Seas. The Main Dining Room offers multi-course dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it’s of course complimentary with your cruise fare. Other complimentary options including Windjammer Café, Jade Sushi and Asian-fusion cuisine, Sorrento’s Pizza, Café Promenade for coffee and pastries/snacks, and room service.
The newest, delicious addition to the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas is the The Cupcake Cupboard, which is a vintage-style gourmet bakery with 30 types of cupcakes. If specialty dining is something you are interested in thsi ship offers lot’s of options such as Chops Grille steakhouse, for an extra fee.
I’ll be sailing out of Port Canaveral this Friday for a 2 night cruise. I am super excited to experience the ship and see what all it has to offer. Don’t worry I will be taking lot’s of pictures and reporting back to you, so be sure to check back next week for the full Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas cruise review.
