When visiting Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure Park one of my favorite attractions and rides was the Radiator Springs Racers. It’s parked right at the end of the historic Route 66 in Radiator Springs and has all the exciting features that a thrill ride should have. While waiting in line I couldn’t help but take in all of the amazing detail that was put into this attraction, even the hand rails that you follow are specifically painted to give it that rusty look.
Each convertible car seats 6 passengers and features either a female or male face. As you board your car, the excitment builds as you prepare for a scenic road trip through the country side and the town of Radiator Springs. Do you remember the scene from the first Cars when Lightening McQueen is given a tour of the old Route 66 by Sally? Well that’s how I felt going through the ride! Through Radiator Springs you will stop by Luigi’s Casa Della Tires or Ramone’s House of Body Art and then get a racing pep talk with tips from Doc Hudson. Next your ready to race against your opponent. As the race beings, racers are split on to parallel tracks and race side by side through the mountain range, Willy’s Butte and past the plunging waterfall, it’s an experience you won’t soon forget.
Radiator Springs Racer’s kinda reminds me of Test Track at Disney World but with a whole new experience. This a Fast Pass attraction and since it’s new I would HIGHLY recommend you take advantage of this service so you don’t have to wait in line for a long time. There is also a minimum height requirement of 40 inches in order to ride. I can’t wait to take my kids to Cars Land so that they can experience this ride for themselves. Cars Land is amazing just by itself but when you add the Radiator Springs Racers, it’s just icing on the cake.
