*I received a 2013 Cadillac Escalade from Chevy/GM to drive and review while in the Orlando area. All opinions expressed are my own.
I have always been a person that needs a big car. Little cars are nice but when I am driving, especially long distances, I want a car that has a little leg room, plenty of space for kids and lot’s of storage. If you have kids then you know just how important all of these things can be or a car ride can go from bad to worse in no time. During our time in Orlando we were traveling with seven people so we needed a car that could fit all us without making everyone feel like their were in a sardine can. The Cadillac Escalade was the perfect choice for our trip because not only is it a beautiful car on the outside but all of the features inside make it the king of the road.
The Cadillac ESV RWD Platinum is very spacious and can fit up to 7 people very comfortably. It has lot’s of storage throughout the car including the back which held our 6 bags of luggage.
If your looking for a family vehicle that everyone will be happy with then look no further! We drove the Cadillac Escalade for a total of 10 days. During this time we made trips to the theme parks, restaurants, and even a day trip to the ocean. Everyone had plenty of room so there were no complaints about being uncomfortable. In fact, almost the entire 2 hour drive the kids all sat back and watched movies. Did I mention this Escalade had 4 different DVD players!
Some of My favorite features of the Cadillac Escalade ESV include:
- Heated & Cooled Seats
- USB Port
- Heated & Cooled Cup Holders
- Adjustable Pedals
- Navigation System, DVD-Audio with single disc CD/DVD
- BOSE 5.1 Surround Sound
- Power Liftgate
- Rear Parking Assist
- Heated Steering Wheel
Safety and Security are two things that the Cadillac is known for and the Escalade ESV certainly doesn’t disappoint in these areas. With the ESV you will find:
- Front, Driver and Front Passenger Air Bags
- Seat Mounted Side Impact Airbags, Driver and Right Front Passenger
- Head Curtain Side Airbags with rollover protection (All Rows)
- Rear Vision Camera System
- Side Blind Zone Alert
- Stabilitrak-stability control system with traction control and rollover mitigation
Talk about features that give you peace of mind! As a mom safety is really one of the top things I look at when choosing a vehicle. During our ten day trip I never once felt unsafe with my kids riding in the Escalade. In fact I felt more comfortable in this car than the one I normally drive because of it’s size and the fact that it has so many airbags. The Government gives every vehicle a 5-star safety rating and the Escalade ranks a four out of five stars for it’s amazing safety features.
The Cadillac Escalade’s standard MSRP is around $83,000 and optional equipment can be added if you would like.
If you’ve been wondering whether an Escalade is worth the investment I am here to say yes! It’s a fantastic vehicle and has all the features that you could possibly want in a SUV. If your still not convinced you can check them out online or visit your local Chevy/GM dealer to test drive one for yourself.
