Both of my kids got their first tooth a little bit later than “normal”. Jeremy cut his bottom tooth when he was around 10 months and Aubrey’s first tooth was her top tooth that came in when she was..18 months! I honestly thought that she would never get any teeth. She looked so cute with her snaggle tooth, but it didn’t take long for the others to come in.
Jeremy is turning 7 on Monday and his last day of first grade is tomorrow which he couldn’t be more excited about. A few days ago we were coming back from Lowe’s when I heard him announce from the back seat that he had a lose tooth. It was a bittersweet moment as a mom because I was excited to see how happy he was but at the same time, I felt a little sad that he was growing up so fast. It seems like yesterday I was learning that I was pregnant with Jeremy and now he is finishing up first grade. It is amazing how fast time goes by.
It’s been a few days and his tooth is still there but I think it will fall out within the next day or so. My question is What special traditions did you do for your kids losing their first tooth? Did the tooth fairy visit them and leave money under the Pillow? If so, how much did they leave? I want to make sure that I make this as special to him as possible because with him growing up so fast there won’t be many more opportunities like this. Thanks and I’ll keep you posted.
