*I received a copy of The Little Mermaid on Blu-Ray in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Disney’s The Little Mermaid first came out when I was in middle school. Even then, I still loved this animated film and it quickly became one of my favorite Disney Princess movies. When my kids were first born I searched high and low for The Little Mermaid on DVD and even VHS and had such a hard time finding a copy, so when they announced that they would be releasing The Little Mermaid onto Blu-ray I was thrilled that I would finally be able to share this movie with my kids.
Ariel (voiced by Jodi Benson), is a free-spirited mermaid, who is off on the adventure of a lifetime with her best friend, the adorable Flounder (voiced by Jason Marin), and the reggae-singing Caribbean crab Sebastian (voiced by Samuel E. Wright) at her side. But it will take all of her courage and determination to make her dreams come true—and save her father’s beloved kingdom from the sneaky sea witch Ursula (voiced by Pat Carroll).
We got a chance to watch this movie last week and my daughter would not look away from the screen! She was just mesmerized by the beautiful colors and all the songs played throughout the movie. I am very excited that a new generation of kids will be able to enjoy this Disney classic.
