My little man starting getting sick last Saturday and has been down ever since. I thought it was just a nasty bug maybe the flu so on Tuesday I took him to the Doctor. He was so brave getting his blood work done and Chest X-ray. Poor little thing has MONO and Pneumonia and has had to miss kindergarten all week. Normally that would not be that big of a deal, but its the end of the school year and that means end of the year activities. He had to miss out on the field trip Wednesday and then the Kindergarten water day today. He has been pretty upset so I decided to do something Fun and GROSS, two things boys love. Here are the ingredients that you need below and the instructions on how to make homemade slime..It is SUPER easy!

3. Pour the White Glue slowly into the mixture of Borax and water, but DO NOT mix together. A big slime ball will form. Take your hands and swoosh the slime around the bowl several times. There will be a big slime ball and lot’s of water this is OK.

Making Homemade Slime is a pretty messy activity but lot’s of FUN and it’s pretty easy to clean up. We just use our “ART” table that they kids have managed to make their artistic marks on over the past few years! I hope you all who have kids will try these activity this summer because it is a lot of fun for both the kids and mom.

  3. Im planning on doing this for a birthday party on Sunday and the kids are so excited about makeing it.How long does it last becouse today is Friday and I want it to last for the party?

  4. If you keep the slime in an air tight container with lid (I keep mine in a glad container) then it should keep for a few months. My kids actually still have slime that we made this summer. Hope the kids have a GREAT birthday!!!

  7. im curious about how does it look like when it dries up? does it mold? does consistency change as it ages? my slime is not for kids, it’s for an art project. thank you!

  10. This looks like a great rainy day activity for the kids. Thanks for sharing!

  11. I have just made this for my children as I loved playing with it when I was young, but it became more like play dough than slime! What did I do wrong and how can I correct it for next time? (The kids still love playing with it though).

  12. e agradavel eu brincava com plasticina na infancia,..

  13. This looks like a lot of fun. I love the the color you chose to make it in.

  14. When I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get four emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thanks!

    • So sorry about that MAtthew! I’ve done this before myself. When you get the emails there should be a box at the end that says unsubscribe from this conversation or something along the lines of that. Let me know if that helps. :)

  15. Borax is very toxic. It is a natural substance but it kills ants and is very harmful for children to ingest even in small quantities. I would only do this with older children with close supervision.

  16. My slime is hard. Should it be sticky? after I just made it.

    I’m going to try it
