I recently started a tradition in our family. On fridays after school we would have our weekly family night usually watching movies. Well we all know how expensive this can be with blockbuster new releases costing a whopping 5.00 a movie. This summer when I signed my son up for the summer reading program I began to look at there selection of DVD’s. To my suprise they have ALOT of new releases and you can check them out for 7 days for FREE. So tonight we “rented”
Pete’s Dragon (oldie but a goodie)
The secret life of Bees (For Me)
The forbidden Kingdom (starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li)
Valkyrie (Tom Cruise)
Burn after Reading (brad pitt and George Clooney)
So I was able to not only get a family movie but also something that I will enjoy as well as my hubby. We also like to pop popcorn and make our own homemade pizza. This is super easy to do and cheap. IĀ get 2 packages of walmart brand pizza dough and I also get the 1 jar of the walmart brand pizza sauce. 1 package of store brand mozzarella cheese. And I like mushrooms so a can of these also. Last week I made 5 calizone rings from the above ingredients and it cost me less that $5.00. You can change it up each week and have taco night or spagetti night. This has become such a fun event for our family and I hope that you will check out your local library and see all the movie selections that they have to offer. Have a great Night!
