The highly anticipated release of Disney’s Big Hero 6 is only a day away. Tomorrow, audiences around the world will fall in love with a young man named Hero and his adorably funny robot named Baymax. I am so excited for you guys to see the film because it far exceeded my expectations and I think the world is going to love it. I’ll be telling you more about my review of Big Hero 6 tomorrow so be sure to check back and read why I think you should take your whole family to see it. In the meantime I wanted to share with you some pictures that I took when I walked the red carpet of Big Hero 6 this past week.
I’ve walked the red carpet before but this premiere was much more laid back and I was really able to take my time on the carpet and really savor the experience. I took a really quick video while I was on the red carpet so you guys could get an idea of what the energy is like at one of these events.
Before we arrived to LA we were given a guest list of celebrities who were going to be attending so I had a good idea of who we might be seeing. I of course had my favorites like Jaime Chung that I was keeping an eye out for but while searching for them I also found a few surprise guests like Callum Worthy and Austin Moon from Disney’s Austin & Ally. I also ran into Chuck Liddell, Pete Wentz, and Maya Rudolph.
The cast of Big Hero 6 were looking pretty sharp as they walked the red carpet. They even shot a few fun poses to highlight their characters in the movie.

After we walked the red carpet we headed inside Disney’s El Capitan Theater where the premiere of Big Hero 6 was being played. This theater is one of my favorites because it’s absolutely beautiful and reminds me of what Hollywood would have been like in the golden years. I won’t give you any other spoilers about the movie, other than telling you it is AMAZING! Loved Big Hero 6 so much and I have a feeling you will too.
After the movie, we were invited to attend the premiere party at the amazing Yamashiro Hollywood where they served an abundance of Sushi and Baymax Cupcakes. They also had fun stations where you could play the new Disney Infinity 2.0, play games, take your photo with hero and baymax. All of this while rubbing elbows with some of Hollywood’s elite.
I really had my heart set of running into one of the Wayan’s brothers but at the end of the night I hadn’t had any luck. But as I am chatting with my good friend Toni, I look to my left and who is standing? Damon Wayans! He’d been standing there next to all of us the whole time and we didn’t even realize it. I didn’t talk to him but I managed to snap a quick photo of him (not the best quality) which he retweeted the very next day. All in all I would said this was one experience I will never forget.
Big Hero 6 opens in theaters everywhere tomorrow! This is definitely a movie that you don’t want to miss. More details coming soon so be sure to check back tomorrow.
