My family and I had a great time this past weekend in Branson, Missouri. We spent three full days taking in all of the festivities and attractions that Branson has to offer during the holiday season. In addition to my husband and kids, my mom and dad and my older sister and her family joined us this weekend as well. We all had a blast and one of the highlights of the trip was our visit to The Hollywood Entertainment Center.
The Hollywood Entertainment Center Consists of 4 different attractions: The Castle of Chaos, Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors, Shoot for the Stars Mini Golf and The Hollywood Wax Museum. We were able to visit all of the attractions expect for the Mini Golf which we will definately catch the next trip.
This was the one attraction that I was really excited to see. I have always wanted to visit a wax museum and being able to visit The Hollywood Wax Museum with my family was really fun. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but we had a blast. The Museum is HUGE and just when you think your done you come to another room filled with more celebrites. One of my favorite rooms was the Horror section that included wax statues from some of the scariest movies like The Exorcist, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and much more! Aubrey did not like this section so we had to move pretty quickly through it.
All of the kids loved having their pictures taken next to famous people! I was so bummed that my batteries ran out in the middle of the museum, but I did manage to get some really cute pictures of all the kids.
Throughout the Museum the are different exhibits set up for photo opportunities like a chapel where you can put on a wedding dress and stand next to Johnny Depp! My other favorite was Hugh Heffner. You can lay on the bed with him and put on bunny ears. It’s really a lot of fun and we had a blast.
This one was all of the kids favorite attraction. When you first enter the maze you are given a story about Hannah the princess being taken and you have to go through the Maze to release her. It’s really thrilling because your in this maze and you go to turn only to realize it’s a dead end. The music that is playing just adds to the suspense of trying to get through the maze. Along the way there are a few surprises that “pop” up here and there. The kids ended up going through the Maze about 5 times, if time would have allowed they would have stayed in the Maze all day. This was a HUGE hit!
If you want to experience an attraction/ride like no other then you have got to check out The Castle of Chaos! From the moment you walk in the castle you are given the story of what happened in the Castle. After you watch a short news story about the mysterious things that happened at the Castle you are taken into a really dark room and given your 3D Glasses.
We were all instructed to buckle, watch the screen and shoot whatever comes our way. My son was so excited about The Castle of Chaos until we actually walked in and buckled up, from this moment on he had his eyes covered. The rest of us had an incredible time during The Castle of Chaos and it was such an adrenaline rush.
The Castle of Chaos is a 5D attraction that includes a 3D movie complete with sounds, scent, and much more! This is something you don’t want to miss, it’s so much fun.
Shoot for the Stars Mini Golf:
Shoot For the Stars looked like so much fun. We were really bummed that we didn’t get to experience this miniature golf experience but we just didn’t have time. The set up is really cute and you are in a city type setting with paparazzi lurking. We did see several families playing and they looked like they were having a great time.
