When the cold winter months are here I will hear “Mom, I’m Bored” at least a trillion times before the spring rolls around. I am constantly trying to find ways to keep my kids entertained so that they are not sitting in front of the TV all day. This week they got a fun surprise when the Glow Crazy Doodle Dome arrived and they were able to try it out.
The Glow Crazy Doodle Dome is basically a pop up tent for kids. The tent is black but inside is where the magic happens. Inside of the dome is a special glow liner which is used to draw your creations on. The box includes:

1 Light Wand
1 Carrying Case
4 Stencils
1 Booklet with fun tips.
Set up of the dome is so easy. All you do is take it out of the carrying case and it pops up into place, that’s it. The light wand does require 2 AAA batteries, which are not included, to light up. Once you have the batteries installed you are ready to draw.
The great thing about the Dome is that it doesn’t have to be dark in order for the glow liner to work. The dome is black so it’s dark enough inside where you can draw anytime of the day or night. Since the drawings are made with the light wand they disappear after a few moments so that your child can make something new.
Aubrey loved the stencils and used them to help her draw a princess crown and wand. She is learning letters in school so she practiced writing them as well. When she was done drawing pictures she brought some of her toys inside the dome and made it her secret hideout. When you push the light wand it makes a light inside the tent so she could see around her.
We have owned other Glow Crazy products and have loved them, but the Doodle Dome is probably my kids favorites. We don’t have much room in our house for the large dome so it’s nice to be able to easily take it down and store it in the carrying case when we are done. The Doodle Dome is now available in stores and online for around $24.99.

My two-year-old and four-year-old grandchildren love this product. I’m using it to encourage large arm movements in preparation for handwriting. It is a great motivator to get them to cooperate with handwriting lessons!
