It seems like the older kids get the less time as parents we get to spend with them. Between being at school all day, sports and other activities it’s hard to get alot of family time and this is why I am a huge advocate for family nights. Ever since my kids were little we have tried to designate one night a week as our family night. Normally every Friday night we will watch movies, play games and focus on each other while having fun together. Thanks to P&G and Walmart families can come together and watch quality, family friendly movies for free on network TV.
I recently got the chance to preview the upcoming Family Movie Night Film, Game of Your Life which will air on NBC this Friday, December 2nd, 2011. The movie centers around High School gamer Zack Taylor who lands a scholarship to an exclusive video game design program. The program is for the best of the best in the gaming world and within the first semester of this intense freshman program 50% of the class will be eliminated. Zack gets teamed up with Sara, Donald and Phillip to create a interactive game project that will either make you or break you in this program. At first everything is going great with this “dream team” but as time goes on Zack finds himself torn between his teammates and his families financial troubles. The movie is intense with a few unexpected twists but it also has a wonderful message for both kids and adults. My son Jeremy is 7 and like most boys loves video games so he was hooked from the beginning scenes where they are playing video games. This really is a fantastic movie that our family thoroughly enjoyed.
Be sure to tune into Game of Your Life airing this Friday Night December 2nd at 8/7C on NBC. You can also connect with other fans and learn more interesting facts about the movie on the Family Movie Night Facebook Fan Page.
