Living only four hours away from Branson, Missouri I have had the chance to see The Dixie Stampede twice. It’s an amazing dinner show filled with fun, laughter and a whole bunch of food plus it’s great for families of all ages. During my recent trip to Pigeon Forge to attend Brandcation we all got the chance to attend The Dixie Stampede on our first night in Tennessee. I was especially excited about this dinner show because from experience I knew just how good of a show it is.
Before you even make it into the arena I highly recommend you come early not only to catch the great pre-show but so that you can get a chance to look at all of the animals used in the show. These horses are some of the most beautiful animals and it’s worth the extra 30 minutes to look around and take some photos. As you arrive at the show you and your party will be greeted, southern style, and get a group photo, you will get the opportunity to look at your pictures and purchase them later on in the evening. Below is the picture of our group, such a great group of ladies!
Before the main-event guests are treated to a very entertaining pre-show which is included in your ticket. You will get a souvenir boot mug cup filled with your favorite drink which you can sip on while you sit back, relax and get warmed up for an exciting night. The pre-show starts about 50 minutes before the main show so make sure you give yourself plenty of time, you won’t want to miss out on Mountain Rukus. After your stomach is starting to hurt a little from laughing so hard your ready for the big show. Your escorted into a HUGE arena and your either on the South Side or the North Side depending on where your seated. This is important because both sides will be competing throughout the night. Dinner is served as a four course meal which includes bread, Dolly’s famous Creamy Vegetable soup, a Whole Chicken, Potatoes, corn on the cob and a flaky apple pastry. Let’s just say you will not leave this show hungry!
Dinner is served throughout the entire show and the waiters are super quick and great about making sure your cup is never empty. The Dixie Stampede is one of the best live shows I have ever seen. It’s filled with singing, dancing, comedy, live action, stunts and a few other surprises in between. The one thing that I love about the show is that it’s different every time. This show was similar to the ones I saw in Branson but it had many differences too for instances Pigeon Forge had LIVE Buffalo! This was one of my favorite parts. From start to finish this show is absolutely fantastic and something that everyone will and can enjoy.
