When I’m in Branson, there’s one show I can’t miss. Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. I first saw this show as a kid. But even now as an adult, it never gets old. The food alone is delicious. But when you pair that with an incredible show, you have the perfect mix for a evening full of fun.
Dixie Stampede Branson Show Times
At the Dixie Stampede there are several different show times to choose from. This just depends on when you want to eat dinner. I highly recommend getting to the show about an hour before it starts. This way you can visit and take pictures of all the beautiful horses, and experience the pre-show in the carriage room. The pre-show is included with your ticket and is highly entertaining. There are plenty of seats, but the earlier you arrive the better seat you’ll get.
After the pre-show everyone is escorted into the main arena. Here friendly ushers will help you find your seat. In the arena there are two sides. The North and The South. Whichever side your seat is in, is the side that you will be rooting for during the show. Throughout the show, you’ll see a wide variety of acts. All while being served a delicious dinner. When I say delicious I mean it! I’ve been to several branson dinner shows and Dixie Stampede is by far my favorite. The food is fresh, tasty and I promise you will not leave hungry.

Audience participation is a big part of The Dixie Stampede. They want to make sure that everyone leaves with a full stomach and a smile on their face. At different times they even call on people from the audience to come out and play along. My husband and I were actually called on during the show. We ended up doing stick pony races in front of about 900 people. It was such a fun experience and we won!
Dixie Stampede plays year round. But in the fall and winter time they put on their special Christmas themed show, which is incredible. We were able to see one of these shows a couple of years ago. It’s definitely a whole different experience from the original show. I highly recommend it, if your in town during the holidays.
