*Backyard Safari Outfitters sent us an assortment of toys in exchange for review. All opinions expressed are my own.
My kids aren’t exactly the best of friends, In fact they spend most of their time arguing instead of playing together. It’s a rare moment indeed when these two kids find something that they both want to do..together! Yesterday a big box arrived at our doorstep which didn’t take long for my curious kids to open and look inside. The squeals of pure excitement filled my living room as they sifted through an assortment of Backyard Safari Outfitters gear. Jeremy and Aubrey couldn’t wait to get outside and put some of this new gear to the test.
Cargo Vest
A must have for any Backyard Safari kid. This isn’t your ordinary vest, it’s tough enough to handle all of your child’s outdoor adventures and has plenty of pockets and hooks to hold all of their gear.
Mini Scoop Net
We have been searching high and low for something like this. We often go to a pond that has fish that swim all around you and now the kids finally have something to catch them with. This net works with both wet and dry adventures so whether you want to catch a butterfly or a crawfish, it’s got you covered.
Critter Shack
How many times has your child found a worm or bug outside that they need a container for. I have lost many Tupperware containers over the years but not anymore. The critter shack is a clear container with breathable lid so that your child can keep a close eye on them. It also has a handle so they can carry it with them through the yard.
Field Binocs
These little Binoculars really let your little one see up close when they are far away. They are adjustable, waterproof and rugged and a must have piece for any outdoor enthusiast.
Mini Lantern
What I love most about this lantern is that it’s small enough for little hands to carry but it’s bright enough to search for things in the dark. It even has a hook on the top to attach to your Cargo Vest.
Magnifying Glass
A great tool to take a closer look at animals, plants and bugs.
After about an hour of exploring together in the backyard, my kids were still getting along! I was amazed at how much fun they were having together. It’s moments like these that I absolutely cherish as a parent because they are few and far between. My son Jeremy has always been a big fan of Backyard Safari, in fact he already has several items that he has collected over the years. But after the fun they had yesterday it has really sparked a new-found interest for this gear. He loves to explore outside and now that he has a partner to go along with him, it makes the adventures even more fun.
Last weekend the kids even had the chance to take their gear with them on a camping trip with their cousins. They caught so many crawfish and loved having a container to keep them in. Backyard Safari Outfitters has been such a hit at our house this summer and created some great memories for the kids.
