I think at one point in time, every little girl dreams of being a ballerina. The music, dresses and all of the beautiful things that go along with the ballet seem to appeal to most girls. I know my daughter is crazy about anything and everything that has to do with being a ballerina so it was no surprise that most if the items on her upcoming birthday wish list were ballerina related. A few days ago, Aubrey got a few fun gifts early with the newly released Barbie in the Pink Shoes DVD. This newest DVD is the 25th direct to DVD film by Barbie Entertainment.

Barbie in the Pink Shoes

Twelve years, 25 titles and 110 million+ DVDs sold to date, Barbie™ continues to engage girls in enchanting stories
they watch an average of ten times! This spring, Barbie™ brings ballet back to the spotlight for the first time in years
– introducing a new generation of girls to the moves and music of famous Giselle and Swan Lake. Girls will dance
their way to a magical adventure with Barbie™ as Kristyn Farraday™, a ballerina with big dreams! When she tries on
a pair of sparkling pink shoes, she and her best friend, Hailey, are whisked away to a fantastical ballet world. There,
Kristyn Farraday™ discovers she must dance in her favorite ballets in order to defeat an evil Snow Queen. With
performances from the legendary Giselle and Swan Lake ballets, Kristyn embarks on a magical journey and learns
when you dance from your heart, dreams can come true! Barbie™ in The Pink Shoes also marks the first time a
Barbie™ movie will be released on Blu-Ray™.

To go along with this fun DVD is a new toy line, where your little ones can act out as one of their favorite Barbie Ballerina’s from the movie. We received Barbie as Kristyn Farraday. In the movie Kristyn is a beautiful ballerina whose magical pink shoes take her into a fantasy world of ballet.  This two in one doll is really fun because you can change her dresses from an elegant purple and blue dress to a pink and red costume.

My daughter Aubrey and I got a chance to ask Jenelle Manzi a few questions about becoming a Ballerina. Jenelle was really great at explaining things so little ones can even understand. You can check out the video below.
