I think it’s pretty safe to say that at some point in every little girls childhood they dream of being just like their mommy. That’s probably why when you go into the toy section at your local store you can figure out right away which section is for girls by all of the baby dolls, dress-up clothes, pretend food and kitchens. With the holidays only about two months away many little girls will be dreaming up walking into their living rooms on Christmas morning and seeing that perfect kitchen so they can cook just like mom does. Aubrey has a ton of pretend food and dishes but up until a few weeks ago she just had a pretty basic kitchen set-up in her room. It was actually a hand-me down from when Jeremy was little and wanted a kitchen. She always plays with this little kitchen so I was so thrilled to be able to replace it with a top of the line Step2 Little Baker’s Kitchen with all the bells and whistles that a play kitchen should have.
The Step2 Little Baker’s Kitchen is every little chef’s dream toy. It’s compact, colorful and full of realistic accessories such as the electronic stove top burner, oven, microwave, and refrigerator. There are also two side containers that can hold additional accessories such as utensils, cups, etc. You also get 2 sets of plates, cups, bowls, utensils, salt and pepper shakers, pots and pans and 6 cupcakes. All together this kitchen comes with 30 different accessories! I think one of Aubrey’s favorite features is the highchair that is attached to the side of the sink. She loves putting her babies inside and feeding them while she cooks in the kitchen.
The kitchen takes about 45 minutes to fully assemble, at least that’s what it took me. It was very easy to put everything together in fact that hardest part about assembly is putting the stickers on straight. The places that you connect the pieces together with screws are very easy to identify because they have intentions. I am not a very “handy”person but I managed to assemble the kitchen by myself.
There are a lot of different play kitchens out there on the market but what I think makes this one stand out among all the rest is it’s bright colors (Pink and Green), wide assortment of accessories, and all of the equipment that you would find in a real kitchen like the fridge with water maker on front, microwave, stove-top and of course the oven. The counter tops look extra nice with the upscale granite look to them. There is also a cute little window over the sink that looks like your staring outside.
Aubrey loves her new Step2 Kitchen and has played with it almost everyday since we got it. It fits perfectly into her room with the pink colors and she couldn’t be more thrilled that she finally has her very own kitchen just like mom. If you have a little girl with a kitchen on her Christmas wish list I would highly recommend the Step2 Little Baker’s Kitchen! It’s priced around $80 and is available online at Amazon and it stores at Sams Club. Below is a short video of Aubrey showing us some of her favorite features on the Step2 Little Baker’s Kitchen. I would love for you to check it out.
