This year I have made a decision that I am reclaiming my iPad. For over a year it has been taken over by tiny hands who insist on downloading game after game, watching cartoons and reading books. For the most part I am ok with my kids using my iPad but it’s time that they had something that was a little more age appropriate. The VTech Innotab 2S is just what I have been looking for!
Now I don’t normally give my kids their Christmas gifts early, but this year I couldn’t wait to give them this awesome new toy. The Innotab 2s is best suited for kids ages 3-9 and features a 5 inch touch screen where they can take photos and video, read interactive e-books, play games, create art projects and listen to music. It really is a tablet made just for kids and is perfect for learning while having a good time.
There are two different tablets available, blue or pink. Each comes pre-loaded with 15 ready to use apps, including the Wish List Maker and the option of two free downloads. Up to four different users can personalize the Innotab 2s by creating their own user name and avatar, a voiced and typed greeting and photo wallpaper. As a parent I can really appreciate that each of my children can use this one device. They can save the things that they like onto their account and don’t have to worry about the other one “messing” it up.
The Innotab 2s features all of the same great features of the Innotab 2 but it also has a secure wireless connection to VTech’s Learning Lodge Navigator. With this feature kids can explore the Learning Lodge Navigator on their device and send their wish list to mom and dad. There are hundreds of games, e-books, music, videos and apps that your child can add to the wish list. I do have a feeling that I will be getting quiet a few wish lists over the next few months.
The VTech Innotab 2s is available online at VTech.com for $99.99. I know a lot of you may not be comfortable spending this amount of money on a tablet but in my opinion it’s worth the money. This tablet can provide hours of entertainment that is not only fun for your kids but also educational. Many time my kids will find games on line that are fun but they don’t really teach them anything. That’s the one thing that I LOVE about VTech and the Innotab 2S.
I have already purchase a few more games to go with the system and I plan on putting those back until Christmas. The games are a little pricey at $24.99 a piece but I often see them go on sale for around $15 or less so that is something to consider.
Do you have a VTech Innotab 2s? I would love to hear your thoughts or suggestions on great games to go with the Innotab 2S!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for VTech and received a VTech InnoTab 2S to facilitate my review.
